Sesame Hoisin Asparagus
I love roasting veggies they are the best. This recipe is a twist on the simple version of olive oil, sea salt and fresh lemon
- 1.5 lbs fresh asparagus
- 2 tbsp hoisen sauce
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dark sesame oil
- 1 to 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- Fresh black pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Trim woody bottom section off asparagus stems
Spread in a single layer on a parchment covered bake sheet
Whisk all ingredients except sesame seeds in a bowl
Pour over asparagus using hands to cover generously
Then sprinkle with seeds
Roast 10 to 12 min depending on size until all spears are tender and lightly browned
Top with fresh ground pepper and serve
For GF use GF hoisin sauce
