Sesame Hoisin Asparagus

 

Sesame Hoisin Asparagus

I love roasting veggies they are the best. This recipe is a twist on the simple version of olive oil, sea salt and fresh lemon

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs fresh asparagus
  • 2 tbsp hoisen sauce
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dark sesame oil
  • 1 to 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Fresh black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  • Trim woody bottom section off asparagus stems
  • Spread in a single layer on a parchment covered bake sheet
  • Whisk all ingredients except sesame seeds in a bowl
  • Pour over asparagus using hands to cover generously
  • Then sprinkle with seeds
  • Roast 10 to 12 min depending on size until all spears are tender and lightly browned
  • Top with fresh ground pepper and serve
