GF Cheese Scones

GF Cheese Scones
- 2 cups Quick Organic Oats
- 1 cup peeled boiled mashed baker or Russet potato
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 1/2 cup chick pea flour
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 3/4 cup milk (plant or dairy based )
- 1 egg
Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl adding the grated cheese
Add the shortening mix in with a fork till shortening is well combined in pea sized pieces
In a separate bowl mix the egg and combine with the milk
Combine the liquid with the dry ingredients until all is incorporated
Drop on a parchment paper lined bake sheet
Bake approximately 20 min in a hot 400 degree oven
